Life as a Mithral
Halazia, Capitol, Central Kingdom
Halazia, as the central most capitol of the Mithral Kingdom, is a vast city with marvelous architecture and ancient history embedded into every cobblestone. At the heart of Halazia are towering trees which the elder Mithral have made into a city-esque location, bustling with royals, militia, businesses, and visitors from other Mithral Kingdoms. It is not often, in the crowd, that one might see someone who isn't of elf descent, but occasionally (as it was with Taeseuk), the Mithral do have visitors. Some come for dark business, and some just for adventure, but there is definitely something to see.Halazia spreads over 20 miles, encompasing vast woods, farm lands, bodies of fresh water, rivers, and little villages along the way. As a royal, Minjun's job was to know every part of Halazia and how it worked, from the agriculture and ranching all the way to the wilderness and how it can be harnessed for good. His people took pride in being one with their land, finding ways to be one with nature that brought as little intervention into the flora and fauna as possible.It isn't a strange thing to find a young Mithral in the woods, either hunting or gathering, or simply observing someone else do it. The payment system among the regular folk in Halazia is usually bartering, one good exchanged for another of similar value. However, among the higher class and royals, there is a Mithral money that circulates, finely crafted silver and gold coins exchanged instead. Within Halazia, there is a common practice to keep things fair, but for those who want to trick, or steal, there are steep consequences.From a birdseye view, Halazia is a shining white city, with a pearlescent gleam in the sun, as if the city itself shines like it's people. Lush greens and flora are everywhere, cobbled paths crafted finely to keep ones feet clean and steady. Intricately carved doorways and windows, finely painted murals depicting history, and the famed carvings out of stonefaces are all prized memories Mithral people from Halazia hold fondly in their hearts.One might hear music and laughter from the pubs and gatherings held, and there is always a warm hearth in which you can find a good meal. The fauna and flora tend to glow in the night, a Mithral never being lost in the woods of Halazia. Laments in their tongue can also often be heard, especially in times of mourning, praise, and from gatherings in the temples. One of Minjun's favorite things are the laments sang at military funerals, the sound something he's oddly found comforting over the years.The surrounding woods of Halazia are enchanted with runes and old magic many Mithral do not presently practice or understand. The city and kingdom are concealed this way, and the royal guard protects its borders quietly and with an iron fist, unwilling to let everything they've preserved be harmed without a fight.If you are lucky enough to enter Halazia, remind yourself that it is an honor very few get to live and tell about.

Leaving Halazia
Minjun was born to parents of the royal Kang line, the current ruling family of the Mithral Kingdom. He is their only child, his parents pride and joy. However, life as a young elf is what many would consider archaic and strict. By a very young age, Minjun knew how to identify plants that were edible, versus which ones were not, able to navigate, start fires, tend to animals, and help with household chores. This kept young Minjun busy and out of trouble.Running with his cousins did earn him a thicker skin, as some elven youth would mock them because of their royal status. He ended up in many scuffles because of this, and at this point his father intervened and began teaching Minjun hunting and combat skills. He took to this quickly, especially archery, and he became one of the top marskmen his people had ever seen. He truly hardly ever missed, and due to this, he was called up around the age of 17 (over 200 in elven years) to serve on the Royal Guard.His cousin was chosen as the next heir, and he is to follow him, so his focus did not have to turn to leadership training, though it showed on the field as well. Minjun was a loyal soldier, caring for his fellow men tirelessly. When another conflict arose at the wall (close to 350 years old at this time), Minjun went to battle. It is here that the course set for his life changed.He was shot with an arrow, deflected by his helm, but another followed right after it, striking his eye. The impact temporarily blinded him, and another shot found the gap in his armor, hitting his chest. He tumbled down off the wall and to the ground hundreds of feet below. Had he not landed close to fellow men, he surely would have died of his injuries. He was healed, and sent to rest.During his time of rest (50 years), Minjun learned further helpful skills, and tended to village children and other tasks necessary for thriving. During this time, he took to patroling the woods for the guard, and this is when he met Taeseuk, a nulhound coming off of a rampage. The two struck up a bond, but soon enough, Taeseuk left the safety of the Mithral Kingdom, and did not return.Fearful for his friend, the loss weighed heavily on him, and finally, he grew determined to see the outside world. His family begged him to reconsider, not wanting to lose their son, but he was firm in his decision. However, life outside of the safety of his people was hard, and soon enough he was struggling, starving, lost and alone. He's rescued by another nulhound, one named Kaden, and his family nursed him back to health. Shortly thereafter, he is reunited with Taeseuk, and the rest... is well... history.Minjun, in his time in Seoul, fell in love with three souls. The first, Ares, a gluttony sin with a beautiful face and a heart of gold. Their connection was sparked through several interactions that eventually led to him falling head over heels for the sin. Rael was soon to follow, and perhaps the most unexpected. A drow, Mithral's sworn enemy, was like a moth to flame with Minjun, and even despite trying to (and sort of wanting to) kill the drow, Minjun fell for him.The bond that followed was powerful, instant, undeniable. Within the year of meeting, dating, and falling in love, Minjun and Rael were engaged. He was shortly after promised to both Ares and Taeseuk. He was promise bound, the Mithral way, with both Rael and Ares as well. Everything was perfect...
Capture and Recovery
Until it wasnt...Taejun, his cousin and acting ruler of Halazia, the center of the Mithral Kingdom, went crazy and sought to kidnap, corrupt, and kill Minjun. He was successful for the first two plans. Thankfully, Ares, Taeseuk, Rael, and Kaden came to his aid with his old friend, Kihyun, to rescue him from a forced marriage and certain death. Though he was tortured, he remained strong. But after his return to Seoul, Minjun is showing clear signs of PTSD, and has become more withdrawn and fearful. He has to piece together his life and work on connections that were damaged in the process of his kidnapping. Minjun, having killed his cousin, deems himself unworthy to rule, hating everything his family once stood for. To cleanse the royal line, Minjun abdicated his position and throne to his friend Kihyun, who he deems will be a more stable, kind, understanding ruler.The recovery for Minjun is ongoing, but most immediately after his kidnapping it was felt that he had a harder time communicating, was very insecure in his relationships, and turned inwardly much of the time. It had an incredibly negative impact on his relationships, though not all was bad. During this time, Minjun realized how fragile life was, and decided to start a family of his own with Rael, his fiance. In December of 2024, they welcomed their daughter Seoha, who was blessed to have three loving fathers alongside Minjun's side. As sweet as the moment was, it was not built to last, and slowly, things began to crumble.
Shadow Work
First, it was Ares.His first lover he'd taken, despite his first love being Taeseuk, decided they could not remain in the relationship with he and Taeseuk. When Ares left, and broke the bond they shared, Minjun was left in shambles. He spent much of his days crying, lamenting, trying to pick up the broken pieces of his life. But as it goes with repairing broken things, it is never a sure, smooth process. And one by one, things began to turn to dust slipping through his fingers.Rael was the next to leave.It was unexpected, sharp like the edge of a knife, and it shattered him. He couldn't eat, couldn't sleep, had lost all desire for the things he loved. It was just going through the motions. The things keeping him together were now his love for Taeseuk and Seoha, who had just unknowingly lost her father in the process too, and Megumi, who became another treasure he would never forget in the process. The fox became a trauma bond, the loss of Rael too painful and blinding for the two of them, though they survived with each other.During this time he focused on building his connections with his family and friends, though something wasn't right. Everywhere they turned there were shadows and memories, things he could not escape from and have peace from. Due to this, and fear of not being able to help their daughter, Minjun and Taeseuk decided to move away for a while, in touch with a group of Drow in the United States that could help them. And there started their shadow work. After a couple of months, what felt like forever, Minjun and Taeseuk decided to come home, and to rebuild, and heal properly surrounded by those who truly love them and wish to stay connected.So the question now is... what is next?

The Relationship Minjun has known Taeseuk since 1901, and the two have been building their relationship ever since. Taeseuk lived among the Mithral with Minjun for nearly 5 full years, and during this time, Minjun fell head over heels for him. While the elf tried to keep it hidden, it became very obvious to his parents, and to Taeseuk, that there was something growing between them. However, due to Taeseuk's feelings about being a Nulhound and not wanting to get too close to anyone, he chooses to leave, and Minjun spends the next many years wondering what went wrong, refusing relationships and marriages, and wishing that he could see Taeseuk again. Choi Taeseuk truly was the one that got away, and Minjun still swears they are soul mates.

Minjun has come a long way in his 500 + years, and has a long way yet to go. He has been through major losses both in family and in romance. The treehouse was originally a gift put together by Taeseuk and Monty, a past friend of the family. The Treehouse is designed to mimic the lofty, canopy homes of the Mithral, with plenty of natural lighting and a lifted living experience. Minjun made it his own with protective runes, which became more frantic and scrambled in the Summer of 2024 just before he was kidnapped. Minjun has constantly done work on the treehouse by his own hands, rather crafty himself, to adjust it to having visitors, which has allowed him to maintain living in this space with their daughter, Seoha, as well. While it is not the average home of a drow, his adjustments allow them to be comfortable in the same space together without causing anyone undue harm. These days, however, Minjun stays in the main estate more, and uses the tree house for time away, crafting, and meditating.

Minjun chooses to spend the majority of his time living on the main estate with Taeseuk and other trusted friends and family. The main inhabitants include Minjun, Miyoung, Seoha, and Taeseuk, though others have rooms on the property, despite their other living situations. Those with rooms include Saebyeok, Heru and Hanbyul, Nix and his children (Trixie and Jack). There are many rooms available for vistors or new additions as well. Added to the property includes a garden, the greenhouse, a hot tub, a play area, outdoor entertaining spaces, a secret garden space, an archery/training range made by Minjun, and the cottage Minjun built originally for he and Rael. It is now a gift for Hanbyul should he need it.

Drama I do not deal well with unplanned drama, as it tends to bleed ooc with those carrying it out, and has led to a variety of negative interactions and outcomes. I will say, as it leads to IC vs. OOC, my muses can be very opinionated and they will speak their minds on the experiences they are having, even if the feedback upsets someone else. Ic vs Ooc I do try to imbue myself into my characters to an extent. That being said, Minjun is incredibly sharp and stubborn and has thoughts and beliefs and feelings outside of my own. Should anything occur that you are not comfortable with or are confused by, please let me know and I will correct myself and my muse or at the very least explain better.

Auction|Buying Minjun Minjun is happily owned by Taeseuk, who is also his partner. Be warned that Taeseuk is incredibly territorial, and that Minjun is very attached, and any stealing of Minjun may lead to unfavorable reactions, discussed OOC or not.
Smut|Relationships Minjun is generally rather reserved, though he does have his moments. However, due to many recent heartbreaks, Minjun is likely to be far more reserved and cold than before. Friendships are still very much welcome, but the same applies; Minjun will likely be a bit colder and has to warm up to your muse. If you want to make a post about Minjun and your muse, as long as it's on point with the current plot, it's allowed! Otherwise, please discuss with me OOC first! Control over Minjun I am very okay with you taking some control of movements or assumptions depending on my writing partner. Initial Feelings
Minjun was friendly with Saebyeok upon their first meeting, excited to celebrate his birthday shortly after. From their interactions beyond this, Minjun began to develop romantic feelings. However, Saebyeok did not fit with his polyamorous lifestyle, and the two decided it would be best to remain trusted friends. Minjun cares deeply for the mage, as well as his child, Heru, and would lay his life down to defend them. He's since become a parental figure to Saebyeok's partner, Hanbyul, and considers them extended family.
Minjun went to a bakery to pick up a special raspberry cake for Saebyeok's birthday.
Minjun first realized his feelings for Saebyeok in February 2024. However, he was in denial of it then.
Minjun helped Saebyeok deliver his son, Heru, the day before Valentine's Day.
Minjun and Saebyeok continue to share meals together, and they often babysit each other's children.

Initial Feelings
Megumi was always known to him, from the start of his relationship with Rael, as someone Rael was very fond of and close to. However, he had never met with Megumi and bothered to get close to him until after he'd already gotten pregnant with Seoha. However, the fox quickly grew on him, and he and Rael chose him as a god parent to their daughter. When Rael left in August 2025, the two shared the pain of the loss, and got closer.
Minjun met with Megumi after he gets pregnant to discuss the pregnancy and become friendly. Minjun and Rael choose Megumi as a god parent.
Minjun first realized his feelings for Minjun and Rael welcome Megumi into the cottage to stay during conflict with Megumi's master at the time.
Minjun discovers that Rael has left, and shares the information with Megumi. They share a pain together around this loss.

Initial Feelings
Despite Taeseuk's warnings when they met to stay away, Minjun shared with the nulhound that he was unafraid of him and his abilities and would treat him with the same kindness and help as he did others. Through this, the two of them developed a friendship, that later turned into a romance. Minjun has always seen beyond what Taeseuk feels is a monster, and into the soul of the man he loves more than life.
Taeseuk warned Minjun of his danger and his ability to kill him upon their first meeting.
Minjun allowed himself to entertain life outside of Halazia because of his meeting with Taeseuk.
When Taeseuk left, Minjun felt gutted and lonely, almost as if he did not belong in Halazia.
When reunited with Taeseuk, both he and Taeseuk considered it a miracle, and were like moths to flame.

Woods of Halazia
If by fate's hand, Minjun happened to be patrolling in the woods the morning after a rather horrible night of finding bodies of deceased men in the woods and a trail of blood. The trip ends with him finding a sleeping nulhound on the ground, and going to his aid. The nulhound, who he quickly learns is called Taeseuk, had been running from those men and ended up attacking them instead.He is warned by Taeseuk that he is a monster, dangerous and not trustworthy, but Minjun rejects this, and shares his perspective of love and care despite whatever monster Taeseuk believes he is. He takes Minjun back to Halazia to clean him up and care for him despite the wolf's concerns, and ignores any negative commentary from his fellow Mithral regarding the outsider in their city.He spends the next 6 years with Taeseuk, keeping him close, looking after him, and teaching him the ways of his people. During this time, however, he also falls in love with Taeseuk, though he keeps the words to himself. The actions however, speak for him, and expose his heart to both Taeseuk and those closest to him.His parents express a concern for the closeness between Minjun and the wolf, though they see their son doing what he feels is right in caring for and protecting the nulhound, and do not press for them to separate. However, Taeseuk begins to notice the worry spreading, the sideways glances and subtle comments, and begins to question himself. Upon realizing that he too has feelings, Taeseuk leaves Halazia without word, leaving Minjun to wonder where he's gone, and if they'll ever meet again.Minjun spends a long while imagining a life outside of the walls he's always known with Taeseuk, and dreams of what could have been had they gone together. This eventually leads to Minjun wanting to leave Halazia, and search for Taeseuk. But he has no idea how to do that, and even if he did... would Taeseuk welcome him?
Christmas Miracle
Minjun decided to leave Halazia, despite his parent's concerns and wishes, in the fall of 2023. He made it Seoul in November 2023, and spends the colder months trying to survive off the land. He quickly realizes, however, that he is ill equipped and suffering. It is by a miracle that he makes friends who help him, and later connect him with Nix, who shares this information with Taeseuk. This leads to Minjun being invited to a Christmas gathering at Taeseuk's home, and he and the wolf are finally reunited. The feelings are immediate, and Minjun launches himself into Taeseuk's arms, feeling more at home than he had in over 100 years just because he's back with the man he fell so hard for. It was truly a Christmas Miracle.
Fears, Loss, and Acceptance
Taeseuk, still unsure of his ability to be a partner and wanting to explore what that looks like, slips into a comfortable connection with Minjun that allows them flexibility in what Minjun finds is called Polyamory. He begins to explore himself in this, despite Taeseuk being his first kiss, love, and lover, and meets Ares. Ares is someone Taeseuk is also interested in, and the three quickly find themselves in a polymorous mix that Minjun cherishes dearly.In this exploration, Minjun begins to catch feelings for Saebyeok, who is also a slave owned by Taeseuk and someone Taeseuk cares for deeply. Saebyeok is connected to others, and during the time that Minjun begins to get to know him and catch feelings for him, Saebyeok falls pregnant. Minjun remains close to Saebyeok through this process, but he does not fully acknowledge his feelings for the mage until much later.Shortly after he announces his connection with Ares, Minjun meets Rael. Rael is a charismatic Drow that likes to tease Minjun and get under his skin. Despite wanting to kill the man the second they meet, Minjun ends up realizing the mistakes of his people, and welcomes the drow closer. This leads to them both catching feelings, and eventually falling in love. Despite the long standing issues between their people, Minjun is convinced that Rael is also a soul mate, and decides he wants to spend forever with him.In June of 2024, Minjun begins to spiral in strange behaviors that leads to more issues and misunderstandings in their relationship. It is later discovered that he was being exposed to hallucinogens by his cousin and those who worked for him in a Mithral coup due to his connection to so many "unsavory beings" according to his cousin.He is later kidnapped, tortured, and the promise bonds he makes with Ares and Rael are broken as a punishment for going against Mithral standards. Taeseuk, Ares, Rael, and a friend named Kaden rescue him, and after some time, life begins to go back to some resemblance of normal. Minjun decides that life is too short and fragile for many to waste it not honoring his desires and dreams, and decides he wants to be more serious with his lovers. He and Rael get engaged that August.Taeseuk offically also asks Ares and Minjun to be his in August, on the 18th. Minjun is overjoyed to finally be where he feels he belongs with Taeseuk, but it seems this doesn't feel comfortable to Rael.The engagement between Rael and Minjun feels unsteady from the start due to communication issues in the poly relationship they all share, and cracks begin to start forming. During this time, Minjun begins to question many things in his relationships, and this seems to be a common thread for all of them.Despite this, relationships continue, and Minjun begins to want to add to the family. With heavy discussion between he and his partners, and Taeseuk's adopted daughter, Miyoung, he makes the decision to have a child with Rael. Seoha is born in December, almost a year to the day of him reuniting with Taeseuk.The pregnancy is difficult for Minjun because there is much conflict in their relationships, and slowly the cracks begin to expand. Ares appears unhappy, as does he, which adds to the mess of their relationship. Rael often reports feeling disconnect, and Minjun tries desperately to remedy this. It doesn't work.In the month of April, Hanbyul, who is the new romance in Saebyeok's life, is nearly killed by a shooting. Taeseuk bites Hanbyul to save him, and Minjun stays close to help in whatever ways he can. However, this new focus adds strain to his relationships, and things continue to get worse. In April of 2025, Ares shares with Taeseuk and Minjun that he wants to leave, and that he is unhappy. This had been discussed many times before, but never to this extent, and after some final moments together, Minjun and Taeseuk lose Ares. The two take some time to recover, but it is not enough, and the healing is not completed before they return to their lives.In July of 2025 Rael is the next to go. It is sharp, sudden, a surprise to the degree of which it happens, and Minjun is left gutted.
Moving Forward
There is a numbness that settles over him as he accepts losing the other birth parent of their daughter, and realizing that he has to now help a drow baby function in the world in ways he can't possibly understand. This concern, shared with Taeseuk, leads them to make the hard decision to travel as a family to seek help from tribes of Drow.They finally settle on a place in the Western part of the United States, and leave in late July to go explore this journey together. In September Taeseuk and Minjun return to settle back into their lives and reconnect with their friends and loved ones, to continue on, as they should. Minjun has a personal goal of repairing relationships where he can, healing himself, and building new connections as he and Taeseuk explore this new limb of their lives together.
